After School
Japanese schools have many different after-school clubs for the students.  Elementary schools have some club activities, and they become even more important in middle school (junior high) and high school.

Some activities include sports like soccer, baseball, volleyball, and ping-pong.  Others are cultural activities, like music, drama, arts, and crafts.  Read about six activities and decide which one you would sign up for!

Juku & Yobiko Schools - Sometimes referred as "cram schools," they offer additional assistance to students who wish to excel in a particular academic area. They also provide an intellectual challenge for students bored with the standardized curriculum of their regular schools.

You can read more about after-school clubs on KidsWeb Japan.
